How do we measure?
There are several reasons why measuring is important. Sizes can vary from country to country (and from designer to designer), some vintage garments are not marked with sizes, or the sizing is not accurate with modern sizing. When in doubt, it is best to take a tape measure and a similar item that fits you. Lay this flat, measure, and compare these measurements. All measurements are taken flat across the garment from seam to seam. The chart on this page will give you an idea how we do this.
If you are in any doubt, you can always email us or send us a direct message on Instagram with your question. We will try to get back to you as soon as possible.
The size chart above shows first the total measurements (what a tailor would make), then the flat measurements, as if the garment were lying flat.
